As dog nails are not worn down enough naturally to keep up with their growth, we need to trim nails for them.
If they are left, they can grow too long, break & chip and can grow in the dogs pads which will cause them pain, discomfort and can lead to further health complications.

At Plushpups I check and trim dogs nails as part of a full groom service, but do also offer it as a separate service.

If your dog prefers to be running in the woods than marching on the pavement (as our own Cocker Spaniel definitely does!) try introducing a bit more pavement walking into their daily walks can still help to grind their nails down a little bit more.   Mixing different walking routes and environments can also help maintain they know how to behave in different situations too.
